I am so excited to announce Derby Dungeons & Dragons, in collaboration with Sparks Film School: Derbyshire North, has been granted funding to give young people the opportunity to learn and play D&D!
Bookings can be made in blocks of 5 (they do not need to be consecutive dates), if a player wants to do more sessions then let me know and I will put them on a waitlist. Should there be availability I will email everyone on the waitlist and it will be booked on a first come first basis.

Who can join in?
11-17 year olds.
Combat Workshops – While I believe all levels of experience can enjoy these stand alone sessions, bare in mind these one-shots are designed for beginners and those who benefit from a slower pace going through the mechanics step by step to help build up players confidence and knowledge.
Character Build Workshops – These are ideal for those who have played Dungeons & Dragons before or perhaps attended the One-Shot workshops and want to now explore how to build D&D characters for themselves with a helping hand.
session breakdown
Combat Workshops – Each week players get to learn and play with a character build that I provide. There is a total of 7 different builds that alternate each session.
If players have played the sessions character build before they then get to choose from which character build they want to play. Giving them a chance to test their knowledge without the cheat sheets or the other players turns.
Character Build Workshops – Each week players will get the chance to use the Players Handbook or the Dndbeyond App (A Free app with parental permission) to explore the various classes and races to build their own character.
Once created, they will put their build to the test and play out a combat.
What will be provided?

- Premade 5e level3 character sheets
- Cheat sheets and simplified breakdowns
- Dice sets – unless they have their own they would like to bring
- Materials to take notes should they like to
- Copies of the offical 5e Players Handbook to use in game
- Fidgets

Check your route and travel time – Matlock Bath is a popular spot in Derbyshire so as the weather gets more inviting, be sure to check your routes and travel times. Drop offs and pick ups may be a challenge if carparks are full. I will help where I can if you give me a call when you arrive.
For more information about the venue as well as information about other events hosted there, follow the link below:
